The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is an old building that attracts tourists. It has been preserved as a historical landmark.
From 1926 to 1989, a railroad line operated here, and steam locomotives were a common sight.
Although the weather forecast didn’t call for rain, it suddenly poured heavily. Luckily, my rain gear saved my camera. The photographer, on the other hand, got completely soaked.
I wanted to film the heavy rain, but the light was behind and not strong enough.
I wished there was light from the front because then people could see the raindrops glisten.
It was late at night at the Yokohama port, and it was raining, but I couldn’t see anyone around.

深夜の豪雨
横浜赤レンガ倉庫、歴史的片造物ですが、観光客相手の古びた建物として存続してます。
昭和の頃は鉄道の引き込み線が敷かれ、蒸気機関車が出入りしてた場所です。
雨が降る予定はなかったのに、突然の豪雨。カメラは雨具を持ち歩いてますから大丈夫。撮影者は全身びしょ濡れ。
激しい雨足を捉えたかったのですが、光源が逆光状態でしかも弱い。
手前からの光があれば雨足も煌めいたのではないかと、反省です。
深夜の横浜港、しかも雨。人影は皆無でした。
Trees filter the sunlight.
After a hot summer, a new season is starting to show in nature.
This picture displays the edge of a wooded park close to my home. A small group of goldenrod plants grow in the dark shade of the trees.
They serve as the ground’s cover on the forest ground.
On examining through the bushes, clear indicators of the approaching autumn are visible. The little white flowers in the picture have sparkly flowers on them, and I think they’re Makie Hagi, a type of wildflower that blooms in September.
I adore the light that slants through the trees in the grove.
木漏れ日
この写真は住まいの近くに広がる森林公園の水辺。深い木陰に息づくイヌワラビの小さな群生。
茂みを覗くと確かな秋の気配が。写真では点々と煌めくように咲いている白い小さな花。
9月になると見られる山野草の蒔絵萩ではないかと思います。
雑木林の木漏れ日、私の愛する光です。
Important Place
Everyone has a special place that’s dear to them.
My special place is a familiar trail in the woods.
It’s a natural haven peacefully nestled in the city.
The soft and strong light shifts by the minute.
I’ve been here for a year now;
I wonder what have I been up to and what have I been contemplating.
What is for sure is that as time passes, my body wears down more and more.
I’m getting old.
大切な場所
誰にも大切な空間、場所というものがあるはず。
私にとって大切な場所、それは平凡な雑木林の小道。
都会の片隅にそっと息づく自然のオアシスです。
時事刻々と変化する繊細で力強い光。
この土地に来て、早くも一年が過ぎた。
私は何を考え、何をしてきたのだろうか？
確かなことは過ぎ去った時間と体の衰えが正比例していること。
年老いていくのだ。
