For several years, I have had difficulty walking for long periods due to leg problems.
Despite this, I explore Tokyo and Yokohama, searching for areas that offer respite from the city and taking photographs.
These are places where I can escape the noise and chaos of my surroundings.
I often feel as though time passes differently in these locations, or even stops altogether.
I feel relieved at such times, as if I have regained control of myself from the obscenities of everyday life.
Traces
Although it was spring, it was a cold afternoon with a northerly wind and light rain.
On a fine day, the Kamakura coast would be crowded with tourists, but in reality it is nothing more than a desolate, rubbish-strewn, deserted beach.
The repetitive waves murmur the proposition of eternity – a beach I have loved for more than 50 years.
